Dziki Warszawa defeated GKS Tychy 90-83 in a blockbuster clash. The team led by Krzysztof Szablowski won its third match in a row and after nine rounds of the Suzuki 1st Men's League is second in the table.
High pace from the very beginning
The first points in the game were scored by the guests, who took the lead after Koperski drove under the basket. It was the first and last lead of the team from Tychy in this game. Until the end of the first half, only the Dziki were in the game.
The hosts built a 15-point advantage. They blocked effectively, forced their opponents to make mistakes and exploited every good situation to the point of pain. The most effective player of the "Wataha" was Alan Czujkowski , who hit almost every shot under the basket. The result of 57-42 was the highest result achieved by the Dziki at halftime this season.

The second half was slightly worse for the Warsaw team. "Wataha", relaxed by the high lead, gave the initiative to GKS. Tysza took advantage of the gifts they were getting from the Dziki basketball players. Piotr Wieloch , together with Karol Kamiński , made up for the losses with accurate shots, thus giving their team hope to reverse the unfavorable result. Less than three minutes before the end of the match, Tysza's loss was already only two points .
Experience won
The result became very worrying, so Krzysztof Szablowski asked for a break, which turned out to be the key to winning this competition. The responsibility for scoring points was placed on the shoulders of the most experienced, specifically Mateusz Bartosz . The 35-year-old scored 7 points at the decisive moment and ensured the Dziki a certain victory 90-83 .

It was our team's eighth win this season. We managed to beat the team from Tychy for the second time in a row, because the last match between these teams last season ended with the score 83-57.
