The Polish U14 basketball team won the "I feel Slovenia Ball" tournament on Sunday! This is a special success for two young Dziki from our academy: Mateusz Niewęgłowski and Benjamin Obem.
It was the first time in history that the U14 team won a Slovenian tournament.
Mateusz and Benjamin have been in the first "5" of the U14 team since the beginning of the tournament. It was no different during the final match against Montenegro. The team led by Tomasz Niedbalski won 70-69, with Mateusz and Binek scoring 5 and 2 points respectively.
Mateusz Niewęgłowski, who usually plays as a center, was the tournament's top rebounder. The 14-year-old averaged 8 rebounds per game.
Benjamin Obem, who plays as a shooting guard, averaged 9.5 points per game, the third-best result on the Polish national team.
