Połowa rundy zasadniczej za nami

Half of the regular round is behind us

Seventeen regular round matches of the 2022/23 season are behind us. The pack's balance at the halfway point of this part of the season is thirteen wins and four losses. It allows Dziki to take third place in the Suzuki 1 Men's League table and is a great starting point before the return matches.

Only HydroTruck Radom and GKS Tychy are above us, and let us recall that in the matches against both teams Dziki were on top.

How do the Wild play?

Wataha plays very much as a team, so it is difficult to single out clear leaders in our team. The most points are scored by Alan Czujkowski (13.9 per game) and Mateusz Bartosz (13.3 per game), but they are bravely supported by Maks Motel (11.0 pts per game) and Michał Aleksandrowicz (10.4 pts per game).

The aforementioned Mateusz Bartosz averages 9.4 rebounds per game, which is the second-best result in the league.

Traditionally, the team led by coach Krzysztof Szablowski is the best defense in Suzuki 1 League, losing only 70.4 points per game.

What lies ahead?

This coming Saturday, the pack will start the second half of the regular season with an away match in Poznań. There are seventeen return matches ahead of us. They will determine the eight strongest teams in the Suzuki 1 League, which will face each other in the playoff phase. A high position at the end of the regular season means (at least theoretically) a weaker opponent in the playoff phase and home court advantage. So there is something to fight for.

Team

The pack's line-up is already complete, but let's not forget that we still have two extremely important returns ahead of us. In a few days we should see Przemek Kuźkow on the pitch, returning from an elbow injury, and at the turn of January and February one of our team leaders - Piotr Pamuła - will return to play.

We invite everyone to the Dziki home matches, which are always played in Hala Koło, at Obozowa 60. The nearest opportunities to see the pack live are the matches against WKK Wrocław (January 14, 6:00 p.m.) and Start II Lublin (January 22, 6:00 p.m.).

See you!
