Thriller bez happy endu

A thriller without a happy ending

In yesterday's Suzuki 1st Men's League match played in Hala Koło, the capital's Dziki Warszawa hosted the WKK Wrocław team. The Warsaw team was the favorite in this clash, but this year's 1st league games are extremely even and have surprised even the best experts more than once.

The second quarter was crucial for the outcome of the match, as the guests scored 18 points in a row and took a lead of several points. The Wild Boars fought ambitiously for an equaliser, which they achieved only in the last actions of the regular time. Extra time was needed to determine the winner of the match. In it, the WKK shooters showed phenomenal effectiveness, hitting four times from a distance and tipping the scales of victory in their favor. The Wild Boars fought until the end, but there was no time left to win the match. Ultimately, WKK Wrocław won 100 to 95.

Marcus Azor played a great game for the hosts. The 22-year-old point guard hit 11 of 14 shots, scoring a total of 25 points. He added 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. The following players scored points for the Dziki today:
  • Marcus Azor 25 pts.
  • Michal Aleksandrowicz 16 pts.
  • Rafal Komenda 15 pts.
  • Alan Czujkowski 11 pts.
  • Max Motel 9 points
  • Grzegorz Grochowski 7 pts.
  • Kuba Janik 6 pts.
  • Alexander Grishchuk 6 pts.
The next meeting at Hala Koło on Sunday, January 22 at 3:00 p.m. Dziki Warszawa's opponent will be the reserves of the top league Start Lublin.
